Challenges

Disconnected

KDP is a 40 year old legacy based mainframe application with houses and manages the entire parts inventory for Volvo Cars on the plant and assembly line

Engagement

User satisfaction is low, systems are disconnected from each other, tasks are slow and time consuming to complete and the user experience is not intuitive meaning training is challenging

Complicated

Due to it’s age and legacy KDP is extremely complicated to use, has hidden menus, special commands, complicated screens complex processes and disconnected data

Out-dated

The experience is old & cumbersome, limited by the current platform environment. Usability is poor with minimal consideration for the users, their roles, their tasks and the operational challenges they face daily

Opportunities

Re-engage

Volvo KDP users with modern, enhanced and intuitive user based features to increase engagement and usability through new emerging technologies, like voice, AI, VR

Simplicity
